Hello. Hola. مرحبا. I am currently developing a cross-platform (iOS & Android) messaging application under INFOCOMET titled ARACHAT for communities that possess multiple languages among themselves. The main purpose is to help bridge language gaps among immigrant families, expats, and the communication gaps between the youth communicating in English and the elderly communicating in their native language. The first version of ARACHAT supports Arabic, English, French, Spanish, and Portuguese automatic translation. It also includes contact-request permission, one-on-one chats, group chats, and device notifications. There is a long list of todos, primarily full encryption and complete privacy as the top priority, but not until I get an initial test version out first. The product is not a replacement for mainstream messaging apps, but I find the existing apps to be more single-language focused. I have all the initial features done and ready to be extensively tested. I do not have a release date yet, but I will have the alpha version soon. Until then, I have a signup sheet for anyone interested in joining the waiting list and wishing to test the alpha version in the near future.
